Center for Advanced Studies, LLC (CAS) Japan
International Studies Program (ISP) – Pathway to the United States

The Center for Advanced Studies, LLC (CAS) is an academic organization that supports international education programs through curriculum development, academic oversight, and transcript management. CAS collaborates with partner institutions and universities to facilitate pathway and transfer programs for students pursuing higher education abroad.

Through its partnership with International University Gateway (IUG) in Bangladesh, CAS helps deliver the International Studies Program (ISP) designed for students who wish to pursue higher education in the United States through a structured academic pathway.

Academic Structure

Under this program, students will complete the first two years of their academic studies in Bangladesh at IUG (International University Gateway) while earning academic credits through The Center for Advanced Studies, LLC (CAS).

During this period, students will follow the approved International Studies Program (ISP) curriculum, which includes pre-approved course syllabi and academic guidelines developed by CAS to ensure that the program meets international academic standards.

CAS is responsible for:
• Providing the approved curriculum and course syllabi
• Ensuring academic quality and program standards
• Maintaining official academic records for enrolled students
• Issuing official academic transcripts upon request

These official transcripts are later sent to partner universities to support credit transfer and admission processing.

Transfer to University of West Alabama (UWA)

After successfully completing the first two years of coursework and earning the required transferable credits, students will transfer to the University of West Alabama (UWA), United States.

At UWA, students will complete the final two years of their degree program to fulfill the total credit requirements necessary for graduation.

2+2 International Transfer Pathway

This program follows a 2+2 transfer pathway model, which allows students to:
• Begin their university studies in Bangladesh at IUG
• Complete the first two years locally
• Transfer to a U.S. university for the final two years
• Graduate with an international bachelor’s degree

This pathway provides students with a cost-effective and structured route to study in the United States, allowing them to begin their academic journey locally while preparing for a seamless transfer to an American university.
Charles Dirk Binder

Education is a powerful weapon for changing lives and shaping the future. As a foundation stone of society, education brings reforms, enhances progress, and paves the way for innovation. The importance of quality education cannot be undermined in society.

For students who are here with the intent to transition into the universities in the US, CAS makes sure that they are adequately prepared to experience and assimilate the differences in the learning environment at the universities to which they will be transferring.

The courses are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to meet the US universities’ rigorous educational standards and student life. The discussion-based approach in the classroom creates a collaborative

environment where dialogue, exchange, and consultation can take place between students and instructors.

Students are encouraged to invest themselves fully in a campus where they learn, work, and play. The university program places a strong emphasis on developing student-led organizations and extracurricular activities so that students do not solely focus on academics. Extracurricular activities teach students skills not learned in the classroom, such as community awareness and participation, leadership and organizational skills, and sportsmanship and creative talents
