English Proficiency
Required English Level at IAU Bangladesh Satellite Campus

All degree programs at IUG are conducted in English and adhere to internationally recognized curricula. Consequently, non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate adequate English proficiency prior to commencing their studies. This requirement ensures that students are prepared to succeed in an English-medium academic environment and complete their coursework successfully.

Proof of English proficiency may be waived for applicants who have completed a prior qualification at a recognized institution with English as the medium of instruction.

Native English speakers and students who have obtained a diploma or degree from an accredited English-medium institution automatically fulfill this requirement and are not required to submit additional proof of English proficiency.

Demonstrating English Proficiency

If English is not your native language or your previous education was not conducted in English, University Road will require confirmation of your English proficiency. During the application process, you may choose one of the following options:

  • Upload a diploma or transcript from a school where classes were in English.
  • Upload recent results from an approved English test.

We ask for these requirements to help ensure every student feels confident and prepared to thrive in our English-medium academic environment.

Timeline and Procedure

How it works during the application process:

  1. Start your journey by completing the short online application form on the University Road website. You will be asked to provide basic information. Once you submit the form, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

    2. If your native language is not English, you’ll have the option to determine your English level.

    3.  If you have studied at an institution where English was the language of instruction or your test scores are high enough, you will be exempt from the English requirement.

    4. At this point in the application process, you will be asked to upload a document proving your English proficiency. This can either be test results from an approved English language test or a diploma/transcript from an institution where English was the language of instruction.
